MVM, an executive search firm, is looking for a Chief Data & Digital Officer for its client, a construction specialist established in 25 countries in the civil engineering/ construction sector. 

Objectives of this Role

  • Set and implement data & digital strategy by working with cross-functional partners to map and transition traditional processes to digital ones
  • Be a data & digital evangelist, championing the use of data & digital technologies and practices to engender a data & digital mindset from the bottom up
  • Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing and data & digital best practices between partners and colleagues to help embed a scalable and robust data & digital ecosystem
  • Ensure industrialization of data & digital prototypes and the corresponding deployment across all relevant PCs
  • Drive data & digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization
  • Measure ROI on data & digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure we’re investing in the right tools and resources

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Develop a clearly-defined and compelling data & digital strategy for the company’s future, connected with the BYCN core IT apps and the BYCN data platform
  • Ensure that all relevant data & digital initiatives are fully integrated into the strategic-planning process for leadership commitment, resource allocation and execution
  • Work with teams across the business to generate innovative data & digital solutions for internal customer needs, products, services, processes, and external customer experience
  • Own and centrally monitor the data & digital innovation project portfolio
  • Build, manage and continue to grow an internal and external data & digital innovation ecosystem
  • Identifying new tools – AI, digital, CRM – that can support, enhance and improve our solutions
  • Work closely with HR to attract and retain top talent, and build data & digital capabilities across the company

Reporting

  • You will report to TBC

Skills and Experiences

  • Min 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role designing and launching data & digital transformation
  • Proven track record of leading successful data & digital transformation projects
  • Understand core business processes and associated technical solutions
  • Have an innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
  • Experience managing and leading data & digital team
  • Proven influencing and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English. Fluent in Spanish not a requirement but would be a plus
  • Ability for frequent business trips
  • Engineering diploma required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business, technology or engineering
